With tons going on this weekend, it will be hard to decide what to see and do. Here are some of the major happenings around town. Don't forget that you can find these events and more on our local events calendar to the right of this site.
- First Thursdays - The concerts kick off this Thursday in Mount Vernon...completely free!
- Maryland Film Festival - The film festival starts on Thursday, and is only $10 for most movies. Screenings will be at the Charles Theater in Station North.
- Kinetic Sculpture Race- One of Baltimore's best "odd" events to attend, the race is a must-see. The mobile works of art will be racing around and through the Inner Harbor starting at 10AM.
- Flowermart - Flowermart and its 130 vendors take over the parks around the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon on Friday and Saturday. Make sure to try a lemon peppermint stick. If you have kids, they'll love to play with the baby chicks and ducks.
- Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower - Go for a tour through the Bromo Seltzer tower this Saturday for some really unique views of Baltimore and see some fantastic artwork by local artists.
- BUGS Farmers Market and Fells Point Farmers Market - Both markets will be open Saturday (and the main farmers market will be open Sunday).
- Pierce's Park - The new Inner Harbor park (behind the Power Plant building) opens to the public on Sunday.
- Family Field Day in West Shore Park - Free live music, Yoga, and lots of kid-friendly activity will be happening next to the science center on Saturday.
