Baltimore Drink and Dining Cards

If you love trying out new places around town (or just going out in general), the Baltimore drink deck or dining cards might be for you.  They're actually a deck of cards, with each card being a coupon that expires at the end of 2015.  For the drink deck, you get 2-for-1 drinks (max $10 value) at each of the 50 bars.  For the dining cards give you $10 off a $30 purchase at each of the 50 restaurants.  The bonus?  You also get two wildcards good for free stuff.  Oh, and when you buy online, 5% of proceeds go to The Living Classrooms.  Here's the link to purchase your drink deck or dining cards:  http://www.citydiningcards.com/multiple-products-baltimore

Note:  BmoreInterested doesn't make anything from the sale of these cards, but we think they're cool.

Shamrock Shindig 2014

Baltimore has more than a few St Patrick's Day events going on this weekend.  One great family event is the Shamrock Shindig at Pierce's Park on Pier 5.  This is the third year in a row for the Shindig, and it's getting to be a not-to-miss party.   It takes place on Sunday, March 16th from 10:30AM-2PM (just in time for the downtown parade).  Here's the official website for more details.  Buy drink passes and kids packs ahead of time!  Here are a few pictures from last year:

Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade 2014

This Sunday, March 16th, the bagpipes will be singing down Charles Street.  The 59th annual St Patrick's Day Parade is an event that helps Baltimoreans usher in Spring with music, dancing, and plenty of green.  Show up early and pick out a good spot between the Washington Monument and the Inner Harbor.  The parade itself starts at 2PM, but the Shamrock 5k will be running on the street at 1:15PM and you can check out the Shamrock Shindig beforehand as well.  For more information, visit the Official Website.  Here are just a few shots from the 2013 parade to put you in an Irish mood.  Click on the images to enlarge and use your arrow keys to go through them.

Federal Hill Irish Stroll 2014

With St. Paddy's Day just around the corner, Federal Hill is going all green this weekend.  17 bars are participating in the bar crawl on Saturday, March 8th from 12-9PM (Flyers say 1PM, but website says 12PM).  Make sure to get there early to get your bracelet (you don't want to be waiting in line when the pubs open, do you?) and don't forget to wear green!  Here is the official website to purchase tickets and get more info on which bars are participating.
